CHESED---LOVINGKINDNESS, MERCY

right hand                      total altruism

grace                              unconditional giving

overflowing                     holy longing

outpouring                       can't say no

kindness                          unrestrained

The quality of God represented by Chesed is that of giving oneself totally, without bounds, like the light that was created on the first day. It is giving without expecting anything in return.

Like Abraham sitting at his tent greeting all wayfarers with kindness, when wearing the white Tallit of Chesed, we embody that gift of the open heart, of kindness and altruism. The doors are open for limitless possibilities. 

"The world is built on Chesed." (Psalms 89:3)
